Titans, truly good, challenge for the CW, yet wonders behind Daredevil season 3.

This is a Short review of Titans season 1 8.5/10 loses steam towards end but sets up an intriguing season 2. The acting in this show is very good with a good casting for each role. The fight work Is impressive as is most of the CGI. The thing that really takes the cake is the portrayal of the respective abilities of each Titan. Dick Grayson is a very very skilled combatant clearly able to take on 10 plus armed combatants single handed, and take on superpowered combatants with relative ease showing that despite being just human and relatively early in his career as a superhero, still being Robin, he fits into the world of superpowers and magic and doesn't look out of place. Something the DCEU, the CW universe and MCU have all struggled in some cases failed to do. The Portrayal of Raven's abilities are what impress me the most, magic in general are hard to portray especially when they are as weird as Raven's. The use of CGI to show her Soul self is very good and her use o

Mass Effect: Andromeda 18 Months on– A Good Game Trapped in a Great Shadow.

We have all seen the reviews, we have all seen the memes and we have all seen the fallout. Mass Effect Andromeda (ME:A) the latest game in one of the greatest franchises in gaming history was utterly slaughtered by critics and fans Alike. Following the reputation of the original trilogy, a great set of trailers. People had their hopes up. People expecting a game on the level of the divine majesty of ME:2, or the very least the set up of ME:1, were disappointed with bad reviews and a buggy game. Now 18 months on after the patches and near collapse of Bioware I play ME:A for the first time to see if this game deserves the flack it got, to decide whether poor Management decisions, a bad game or high fan expectations is the reason we may never get a conclusion to this story or even another addition to the Mass effect title. Animation and Graphics. Now one of the first things I noticed, within the first few hours, was that the animations were somewhat lacking, the

Marvel's Defenders:Mullet style Review

Image
I have been waiting for this, I have been counting down the days till the defenders dropped. As the climax to the Netflix part of the MCU, there is a lot of hype, expectation and some trepidation. this is a mullet style review in which there is a spoiler free section first a spoiler warning then a spoiler section. Spoiler Free review. This show had big expectations to fill was a show that had to live up to 3 amazing shows and 1 good one I am going break down the review by sections, acting, fights, visuals, and story then give a rating. Acting  Where to begin, as usual, Charlie Cox's Daredevil/Matt Murdoch is great he can hold the room even with the Defenders he is a proven actor if you liked him in his 2 solo seasons then you'll like him in this. Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones is the same sassy hero as in her own series she interacts with the other cast members brilliantly often stealing scenes. Mike Colter is yet again amazing as the unbreakable Luke

YouTube's ADPOCALYPSE: the consequences.

Image
I am sure you have heard of it but for those that don't know, What was/is the Adpocalyse? Well, in a sentence it was a series of "improvements" to allow advertisers to pull or customise where their ads would and wouldn't be placed, to allow their ads to be better received and more effective. This did not turnout as planned, what actually happened is that many prominent and not so prominent YouTubers found they had a drop in ads and massive drops of ad revenue. This change was obviously taken very poorly, A for the lack of warning given to creators and B the rather inconsistent and some would say unfair drops of income, Some would experience a drop of 80% in earnings were some would find no drop at all for very similar content. There was some serious outrage that i am sure you have seen. The fallout While it has taken some time for the effects to be clear, In my honest opinion the Adpocalypse could be the end of Youtube for several reasons. It is mo

Star trek Discovery: Pre-release opinion.

Image
The first thing you should know is that I love star trek it is still my favourite franchise even after all these years and when I heard that a new show was in development I was ecstatic. Finally, I could enjoy a Trek TV show that had the great graphics of the JJverse movies that set was set in the prime timeline of the old TV shows instead of the Kelvin Timeline. First came the concept animation and at first I was a bit perplexed It looked like a cross between a federation and Klingon design and I first thought it could look like that since maybe if it was set in the late 24 th or early 25 th century it could be a collaboration between the two allied powers. But then I heard that it was confirmed that it was a prequel set 10 years before the original series (2255 in timeline) which disappointed me since one it was a prequel that killed the franchise last time and two since it really through the design into suspicion, like how can the ship look like it was designed

Gender Equality: It goes both ways

Image
The question that gets asked too often are you a feminist? Er no I am not at least not currently Gender inequality the ever divisive and toxic area that must be encroached on, we have all by know heard the facts of inequality towards women. The lower pay, less likely to be hired into managerial positions or public office and the fact their careers are significantly hindered by having children. Not to mention the more social aspects like the sexualisation of women and the treatment of them in the criminal justice systems of the world. All these issues and the ones I haven’t mentioned are terrible and must be stopped with efforts from both genders. And this for me is where the issues for gender equality arise, you often see articles in the paper or speeches by influential peoples stating that it’s an issue for both genders yet make no attempt to real them in and make no mention of the inequalities toward men. The Guardian did an article which called inequality an unjust gulf b

Say goodbye to the NHS

Image
Many people have been warning about this for years and while many are in disbelief that a government would promote the selling off one the greatest institutions in this nation the truth is that the last 6 governments have been slowly priming the NHS for privatisation. We all knew that the NHS has been deteriorating and now is in a dire state. A leading Doctor said that general practice is on the brink of collapse, hospitals have closed. and for those that remain have had beds removed and those are being filled by people who should be receiving social care from councils yet due to cuts on their budgets local authorities aren’t able to provide them. According to a NHS survey almost half of nurses are saying their wards are understaffed, and since Brexit nursing job applications from the EU have dropped 96% and since the cutting of the bursary for nursing student’s applications have dropped by 23%. This has and will impact on the service they can provide. My f
